My favourite apps at the moment
October 16th 2010 14:42
Along with my HTC Desire, I also have an iPod Touch - mainly because I love all the apps so much. Here are a few of my favourite apps at the moment:
Guardian News
There is a version of this for Android, but it's not as good. The iPod Touch version updates every time you open it, and for a few pounds you can't complain.
Flick Cricket
So many of the cricket games just give you control of hitting the ball - it doesn't really matter where it goes. This game allows you to bat and bowl a full game of cricket, and it's a lot of fun. You can play up to 50 overs (if you've got too much time on your hands). The only thing it needs now is a multiplayer mode, as the computer gets too easy to beat after a while.
BBC News
Not much to say about this one - it does what it says on the tin. A good app, looking forward to when its released on Android.
Countdown To Christmas
A very limited app, but still fun to see how many sleeps you have left until Christmas! Ok, OK, it’s a terrible app, but it’s free at least....
Angry Birds
If you have an iPhone and haven’t played Angry Birds then you’re missing out. The basic idea is that you have to fire different types of birds into buildings. It’s a lot more difficult than it looks, and there are a large number of different levels available.
So these are some of my favourite apps at the moment, but they change pretty regularly. What are your favourite apps? Do you have any recommendations for me? I’m always on the lookout for a good app, specifically a good fitness one at the moment. Look forward to hearing from you!
