Another load of great apps

Every now and again I like to update this blog with my favourite iPhone apps at the moment. I have an Android phone – as you’ll know if you’ve read this blog before – but I have an iPod Touch just so I can use the apps from the app store. I dream of the day that the Android store has just as good selection, but I think that might be a long way away! Anyway, here are my current top iPod apps at the moment:
1. Cricket – I can’t remember the name of this app, but basically it’s a much better version of the cricket games you find on websites. The idea is that you use the left and right thumbs to control the batsmen’s stance, angle of shot and when he releases the bat. The control you have over the batsman means that you can play a defensive innings, or really go for it (with a greater chance of getting out). If you’ve a fan of cricket then it’s well worth getting, although it hasn’t been updated in a while and I’ve pretty much exhausted the options.
2. Sleep Talking – Again, can’t remember the actual name but you should be able to find it. The idea is that the app monitors sounds at night and starts recording when it hears a voice. If you’ve always wanted to know what you say during your sleep then this is the one for you! I haven’t had a chance to use it yet though because the iPod Touch doesn’t have a built in microphone.
3. Angry Birds Holiday Season – If you have an iPhone and haven’t played angry birds yet then you’ve either been living under a rock or haven’t got around to making an iTunes account yet. The Seasons version just adds new levels- plus it’s great that you get it for free with Android (with ads)
So what are your favourite apps at the moment?
